Neighborhood Watch
Welcome to one of the best crime fighting teams our community has--Neighborhood Watch. By joining Neighborhood Watch, you make a vital contribution to the safety of your family, home, and community. As a member, you are encouraged to be aware--to act as the "eyes and ears" of law enforcement.
Neighborhood Watch consists of two meetings. At the first meeting a deputy will instruct you on--
- Reporting suspicious activities, vehicles, and persons
- 911 usage
At the second meeting we will discuss--
- Home Security
- Auto Theft Awareness
Any specific problems your neighborhood might be experiencing such as mail theft, vehicle theft, drugs, or speeding.
Will provide Neighborhood Watch signs to post in your neighborhood.
The real key to this program is getting to know your neighbors reporting suspicious activity and reducing the opportunity of crime occurring in your neighborhood. To initiate a Neighborhood Watch program in your community, please call Sgt. Lanny Handy at 256-546-2825.
